Godzilla attacks Boulder Dam, causing the structure to break and unleash the caged power of the Colorado River. The torrent carries Godzilla away, driving him across the Nevada desert, finishing a few miles from Las Vegas. In Las Vegas, gambler Winslow Beddit debates whether to spend his last dime to call home or play the slots. He decides on the slots. In San Diego, Rob Takiguchi is finally talked down from Red Ronin. Dum-dum Dugan insists that the boy will never get near Red Ronin again, ignoring even Dr. Takiguchi's statement that Red Ronin will only respond to the boy. Dugan just as simply states that they will just do without Red Ronin then. Back in Las Vegas, Winslow finally hits it big, just as Godzilla enters the city. At Boulder Dam, the remains crumble away, releasing a second torrent of water. Just as Godzilla reaches the Strip, the second tidal waves smashes into the city, sweeping the monster, Winslow, and the gambler's winnings out of the city. Tired, Godzilla stalks off into the Nevada desert. Winslow staggers about the ruins and discovers a single dime lying at his feet. This time he calls home, but not too a warm response. After his call, the phone gives him his dime back and the gambler sets out on the long walk to Reno. Meanwhile, the Behemoth finds Godzilla and follows him across the desert.
