- News - Godzilla is to die in the new Toho film, which will pit him against a monster called Destroyer, a derivative of the original Oxygen Destroyer weapon. A revamped older kaiju is set to team with Little Godzilla against the Destroyer, speculation ranging from Varan and Anguirus to Mothra. Gamera Guardian of the Universe is reported to be doing respectable business in Japanese theaters. A new Ultraman series is in production for Japanese television. Trendmasters reports that Mothra will be dropped from their toy line, but Biollante, Battra and Gigan will soon be joining the line. Godzilla appears in both the first issue of his own series and Godzilla vs Hero Zero for Dark Horse comics.
