- News - The sequels to Yamato Takeru have been axed by Toho. Bandai may finally be producing a Titanosaurus figure. Mothra, the Super-X and composer Akira Ifukube are reported to be returning for the new Godzilla vs Destroyer film. Toho sues Korean car manufacturer Kia for their use of a Godzilla-like lizard in a TV ad. New monsters are added to the Trendmasters toy line: Biollante, Battra and Gigan. Cybersaur and Bagorah are coming to battle Godzilla in the Dark Horse comic series. Sci-Fi channel airs a Godzilla marathon in July featuring four Godzilla films and King Kong Escapes. The passing of Hajime Sato and Noboru Tsuburaya is reported. Gamera Guardian of the Universe is screened in Texas and Indonesia as well as Cannes. Details about the plot of Godzilla vs Destroyer leak out.
