• News - Plans progress for G-CON '97. More details leak out about TriStar's Godzilla film, including the addition of Jennifer Aniston to the cast in a Fay Wray type role. Montreal's Fant'Asia film festival returns, with negotiations underway for Gamera 2, Majin, Yamata Takeru and some classic Toho films. Godzilla vs Destoroyah is released to video in Malaysia. Shochiku is apparently still working on their new Guilala film, though his squaring off against Gappa was only a rumor. Godzilla suitimation actor Ken Satsuma retires from acting. Tokyo TV airs a very short Godzilla show in mornings for kids.

• Mothra Diary '96 - by Norman England - A recounting by one fan in Japan about the build up to Toho's December 1996 release of Rebirth of Mothra. Included is a review of the film itself.

• Mothra flies again! -by Ed Godziszewski - A critical review of the effects-laden Rebirth of Mothra film.

• Mothra sinks! - by Kyle Smith - An even less complimentary review of Toho's new Mothra film by a long time kaiju fan.

• My Eight Conclusions for the Lady Mothra - by Hikari and Naoko Takeda - Two Japanese fans bemoan the poor writing and direction in the new Mothra film, describing the movie's few merits and expressing hope that the announced sequel will be much better.

• Essential Godzilla - A brief synopsis and cast and staff listing for each of Godzilla's first 22 films, from Godzilla King of the Monsters to Godzilla vs Destoroyah.

• All Kaiju Elimination Tournament - Round two of the fantasy monster war. Detailed synopses of the round one battles and their results are given.
