• News - G-Con '97 is prepared to go, set for August in Chicago. The latest Trendmasters' toys are receiving limited distribution, they are 6" versions of Varan, Megalon and Baragon; a 10" Biollante is also set for shipping. The advance teaser trailer for TriStar's 'Godzilla' hits theater goers with the release of Men In Black. 'Mothra 2' is set for a December 13th release in Japan. Daiei goes ahead with plans for 'Gamera 3' set for a 1999 release. GNP/Crescendo plans to release a soundtrack with cues taken from Godzilla's first 22 films.

• New Random Godzilla releases set for fall - Random House is releases a second batch of Godzilla books. Among them is another novel by Marc Cerasini Godzilla 2000.

• Battle in Outer Space - by Richard Pusateri - A look back at the original Star Wars, Toho's landmark sequel to The Mysterians, 1959's Battle in Outer Space. This film is remarkable for having the first 'fighter combat' in space ever captured on film. Many behind the scenes details, such as original design sketches for the alien Natal, are given.

• Battles of Godzilla - Godzilla vs Angilas: Iwato - by Clark 'Sparkie' West - An illustrated retelling of the famous Iwato Island battle between Godzilla and Anguirus from Gigantis the Fire Monster.

• Toho Tunes 2 - by Norman England - Another of the Mothra songs is translated, this time the alternate song from Godzilla versus the Sea Monster.

• Godzilla-ology - by Jarret Keene - A recounting of critical articles on the Godzilla series from various film and entertainment magazines over the years.

• Gamera Super Monster: one fan's fave! - by Teddy Johnson - A relation of one fan's appreciation of 1980's dismal stock footage fiasco Gamera Super Monster.

• All Kaiju Elimination Tournament - The round four battles are listed, as well as detailed write-ups for the action of the previous round's fights.

• Kaiju Tails - 'The Odds Favoured Gorosaurus' a Dr. Rex Summeral story by Skip Peel.
