• News - G-FAN's readership turns a thumbs down to the TriStar plans for Godzilla, such as his inability to fire an atomic ray and having him lay eggs at Madison Square Garden. In a poll on Centropolis' web site, Titanosaurus was voted more popular than even Godzilla himself. Toho announces 'Mothra 3' for a December 1999 release, negating rumours about a Destroy All Monsters or The Mysterians remake or a King Ghidorah solo film. Details of the script and design of the monster in TriStar's Godzilla film leak out, and the news isn't pretty, with a script out of a '50's sci-fi film and a monster that looks like a love child between H. R. Geiger's Alien and a Jurassic Park dinosaur. Details of the newly released Rebirth of Mothra 2 are given, including the radically redesigned Mothra. Gamera the Guardian of the Universe is finally released to video by ADV Films in the US, though only at a rental price of $89.95.
