Steve Ryfle's book, Japan's Favorite Mon-Star is delayed due to legal reasons. Toho decides to go ahead with Mothra 3, which will feature an armored Mothra, time travel, and the ultimate villain, King Ghidorah. For the first time, Koichi Kawakita will not be in charge of the special effects on the Mothra film. Bishop Studios is reported working on a mutant Gyaos for the new Gamera film. Daiei is said to be concluding their Gamera series with this new film.
